The Story of the New Shoes is an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Red Shoes". This animated piece is part of a larger project titled "Memory Palace". A project that raises questions regarding the desire, possession and burden associated with the material things in our lives. The project concluded with a book of collected notes and video stills documenting the process. In the end, we find our materiality of flesh, blood, and spirit is the most precious of all.
